"I've been to a few gay pubs in East London,
but The Black Horse on Mile End Road is without doubt one
of the better ones. Ignore the hideous drag acts (although
Sunday's karaoke drag host is really funny) and bask in cheap
drinks, unpretensious chat, lively music and really friendly
locals and staff. It's a really mixed clientele too...my straight
mates have even pulled in there!! Its open till 3am or so
on weekends and can get extremely busy but is always fun."

closing times, I have rarely been in a friendlier or more
comfortable place. A good selection of wines, a view over
