Simply Madonna: Materials Of The Girl exhibition

As queen of reinvention reigning over three decades, it’s hardly surprising that Madonna has enough clothes and memorabilia to warrant an entire exhibition. The Old Truman Brewery is putting on a show celebrating the reflection of, and contribution to, style and culture made by Madonna and, by extension, her collaborators in the worlds of music, film and fashion.
Among the 300 exhibits will be video favourites such as the black tasselled number from Open Your Heart and outfits from films such as Evita. Running from February to March 2009, material girls and boys everywhere need to turn off the Madonna special on the music channel and go and revel in these real-life treasures.
